Pakistan Tour of England 2020 – 3rd T20I
It was a disaster start for Pakistan when they played their first Test match at Old Trafford. The hosts came from behind and clinched the first Test match and England also won the Test series and the second T20I after the first game was washed out due to the rain.
Pakistan needed to win the last T20I game to level the series and end their tour of England with a win. On Tuesday, Babar Azam and his T20I men did exactly that. After losing the second game of the series, the visitors replied strongly to England’s challenge.

England won their second toss in a row and in this match also they again chose to bowl first. But this time, the visitors lost their premiere opening batsman Fakhar Zaman for just a single run. Fakhar was clean bowled by Moen Ali in the very first over of their innings.
Haider Ali made his T20I debut for Pakistan in this match. He and skipper Azam tried to steady the ship for the visitors. But Azam also couldn’t do much as he managed to score just 21 runs to his name.
Pakistan was struggling to cope with the bowlers of England. Mohd Hafeez and Haider Ali were the ones who got the Pakistani innings on the track. Haider Ali smashed his maiden T20I half-century and shared a century stand with professor Hafeez for the third wicket.
This 100 run partnership gained the momentum and Pakistan finished well to pose a yet another challenging total for the hosts to chase down. Haider was dismissed for well made 54 runs. But Hafeez didn’t let this opportunity go, he scored his 2nd T20I fifty of the series and stayed unbeaten on 86 runs.
It was another Hafeez’s special which took Pakistan to a competitive score of 190 runs for the loss of four wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Imad Wassim was another batsman who was not out on 7 runs with Mohd Hafeez.
Pakistan still managed to score 190 runs despite losing Zaman, Azam, and Shadab Khan early in the innings. It was Haider and Hafeez who stole the show for the hosts. The England bowlers failed to keep the pressure after two quick Jordan wickets. Chris picked up 2 wickets while Tom Curran and Moen Ali picked up 1 wicket each their name.

It was a very difficult task for the hosts as Tom Curran, and Adil Rashid didn’t manage to do the impossible thing for their team. England scored 185 runs in reply to Pakistan’s score of 190 runs. In the end, Pakistan won the match by 5 runs and leveled the T20I series to 1 -1.
